Wild Weekend Weather

This weekend, the weather has been truly odd. On around thursday, it was icy, so much that we couldnt get out of our driveway, and it was freezing freezing cold. Friday, the same, but a little warmer. Friday night and all of Saturday we had tornados. Im sooo not kidding, the sirens were on and off all night and all day. We had terrible storms and the high was 72. How wierd is that???? Then today, it is about 22 out and freezing again. Wierd weather. Tis the latter days I guess.

Fun after Christmas

I love to play with all of the toys after Christmas! LOL. So far, I have bathed probably a hundred baby dolls, fed them, changed their clothes and put them to bed. I have had my hair and makeup done in Marlee's salon, I have actually had to purchase ( at a quarter a piece) a tattoo from Dylans tattoo parlor, and just so many other fun things! The kids have been making scrapbooks, molding clay, making bracelets, and playing with a ton of new power rangers, neoshifters and more. We are so blessed. So very very blessed.
Right now my kids are eating breakfast- hot chocolate with bunny marshmallows and cinnamon rolls. It is sunday and we are snuggling in, the weather is cold, cold, cold. They are still hacking and coughing so much it sounds like they are going to hack up a lung, and I wonder when it is going to end. We have missed so much church. Hopefully, it will get better. We will have a gospel lesson and sing some hymns, but it isnt the same.
With love, Jaelle

A very very merry christmas!

What an awesome holiday we have had! It is early evening on Christmas night, the tree lights are on, and we are all sitting at the dining room table listening to my beautiful, smart 7 year old read us a bedtime story! We have a cute book called five minute bedtime stories from sesame street ( im a HUGE sesame street fan, lol) anyway, it is so amazing to me to hear my son read to the family. He is growing up so fast. Just watching my kids this holiday season has really struck a chord in my heart, they are growing up so fast and I want to make sure that I remember every little detail of it. I have such happy childhood memories and I hope my babies will have them too.

Yesterday for Christmas eve we headed to my parents for presents, and my mom had made the yummy cutout christmas cookies that my sister and I used to make together every year. It was awesome! We also had yum pizza rye bread. My aunt vonnie was there and we all sat around and watched the kids open there presents and we exchanged small, inexpensive gifts for the adults, which was so awesome to me, and I have to brag for a minute.... my babies are so gracious. I was so proud of them. Every little gift they were so happy and joyful and grateful. They are so wonderful, because they know what Christmas is about, and they repeat it often and to perfect strangers ( like the lady at the video store, lol) Christmas is about giving, and most of all about Jesus, our Savior. Even my four year old tells everyone this. Ok, im done bragging, which I really shouldnt be bragging, because it isnt me who makes them like this- they are just wonderful spirits. After a nice christmas at my parents, we came home for a little bit for potty breaks, a bit of playing with new toys, then we headed to Keiths parents. That was also a lot of fun. His brother Cory and his wife Sara were there, with there beautiful babies Ivy and Braden. We all sat around, ate lots of meatballs and little smokies and opened presents, once again, it was for the kids, and the adults didnt really exchange gifts ( well, I take that back, we bought his parents a new toilet seat !!!!!! ( sydney said the other one pinched her bum, and it did, there was a crack in it! ROFLMBO!!!!) and we all just talked and played and had such a good time. Unfortunately my little nephew braden accidently fell down the steps and busted his lip up good, so there was plenty of action and drama, but he was okie dokie by the time we left.

Once we got home, it was bedtime and we were pretty excited because Santa was coming! The kids went to bed awesome-- but woke up at 1 am, 2 am, well, you get the picture! At 5 am, we finally said, FINE!! you can open presents LOL!!! Santa was good to us this year! The kids each got something they really wanted, Dylan got a neat power rangers mega zord, Marlee got a pink game"girl", and Sydney got a poodle with clothes, a bulldog, and a kitty cat ( she loves animals) plus a bunch of other fun little gifts. Keith and I bought a joint present this year, something we needed-- a new pooper scooper for the dog! We thought it was hilarious, that shows you what a fun couple we are!!!!

Today was spent in our jammies, playing with ALL the toys!! We had soo much fun! Then tonight we had a nice little sit down dinner, of hamburger helper, broccoli and cheese, cinnamon applesauce and buttered bread. lol. easy peasy! We were going to make homemade pizza, but we have all been soo sick with colds and sinus issues, that we just took it easy!

Here are a couple picks, one from my parents house, and one from keiths parents house. Unfortunately, my silly camera batteries died late last night after all the stores were closed, so no pics of today, but they are in my memory!

Merry Christmas my loved ones. Whoever reads this is defintely a loved one of mine, and I pray so hard that each of you know Jesus. That is the important thing!

Merry Christmas Eve!

We got up early to finish the christmas present for nana and pop pop ( cant tell what it is, they might read LOL) and Keith is at work, so when he gets home at noon, we will have lunch and then head out to buy the kids presents to each other, we take one kid at a time to the dollar store, where they pick out a present for their siblings. It is fun and cute.
At 2pm, we are heading to nana and pop pops where we will have our christmas eve celebration with presents and food. After we are done there we head to Keiths parents for presents and food, then we get to come home and get everything ready for santa to come!!! Our family reads the Christmas Story from Luke, while sitting under the Christmas tree, and then we put the cookies and milk out and go to bed where visions of sugarplum fairies will dance in our heads!!!!
Christmas day is going to be awesome this year, we dont have anywhere we HAVE to be!! So we get to play and watch movies and eat lots of treats!! Its awesome!
Merry christmas to all of my family and friends, I love you all and Im so thankful for the holiday season where we get to honor the birth of our Savior.

Magical Christmas Memories

Marlee and Aunt Vonnie :)

Yesterday the kids went to Nana and Pop Pops and had there special christmas time with them alone, they make cookies, decorate the tree and nana's house, and then make a special christmas gift for mommy and daddy to have under the tree! After we picked the kids up we went to Aunt Vonnies for our special Christmas afternoon with her! Every year since I can remember- and Im 27, she has painted a ceramic house for her christmas village. She has made swingsets, cars, even tunnels for the train! Each year we get to help put the village up!! She even has a seperate santa's workshop and nativity scene!! We LOVE it! I have happy memories of doing this for christmas and now my children get to have that joy. Here are some pictures!!

Fat Pics of me on Facebook... I have motivation now

Well, I have motivation to lose weight now. My aunt whom I love soo much, really i do, but she posted pics of me and our family on facebook. I have gained alot of weight since my first pregnancy, seven years ago, and three babies right in a row, and a major illness, I have gained alot of weight. And Im mortified. But I had made a safe cocoon where no one really saw me and I didnt have to worry about being " embarrassed" by my weight. So , now I have motivation. Im going to lose weight. Im ready to be healthy and not embarrassed. I will never be 90 lbs again, but I can be healthy and try very hard to accept myself for who I am, a wonderful fun crazy awesome girl! Who just happens to be fat ROFL!!! So, here is a pic for the world to see, of how I look now. Yup. Im doing it, Im posting a pic of me. So maybe, in a year, I will post another picture of me!! Smaller me, LOL!!

To all who see me, please still love me.

JAELLE

by the way, that gorgeous guy with me in the pic- thats my hunky hubby.

Oh the weather outside is frightful...

What a mess. Ice all night, then fog this morning, so I guess it is beginning to thaw a bit. Anyway, it is gross! All the schools are closed, but Keith is still heading to quincy for work. We have a four wheel drive suv, so hopefully he wont have any problems.
Im sitting here at 6:30 am letting Sydney brush my hair. lol. After Im finished here on the computer Im going to start cleaning. I have this "thing" where I always have to have my house cleaned really really nicely by christmas. Even as a kid, I would clean my room really well, before Christmas, it was a fresh start to put all my goodies away LOL!!!! So, today Im cleaning, then tomorrow we are working as a family on the rest of the little projects and gingerbread houses and treats etc. So we will be ready for Christmas. Finally. It is just so strange, Christmas seems to have just snuck up and im not feeling particularly festive. Sheesh. :)
Love, JL

Cabin Fever

Well, we have had ice, snow, and today it is supposed to be just cold, then this evening- a terrible ice storm lasting all through tomorrow. So we are experiencing cabin fever in the Kaylor household. So I am going to attempt to get the kids out today and run just a couple errands, then we are going to try and break up some of the cabin fever by finishing a couple of christmas projects. A present for my parents, and then making the pretzel goodies for the neighbors etc.
We will throw in a little schoolwork and read a christmas book or two, and hopefully we will all feel a little better so we can get through the next spell of storms.

Blue eyes...

Can you see where Marlee gets her blue eyes?? Doesnt grandpa look good? He is plowing right through chemo and doing great! He is such a fiesty man! I love him!

Im the mom who......

im the mom who:
*makes her kids theme lunches, such as an all orange lunch, on orange plates with orange juice to drink, ravioli's, carrots, cheetos and oranges.
*plays barbies and colors for so long, she forgets to do the dishes and the laundry.
*will put on pretend deer antlers and crawl around the house so that her kids can pretend to hunt her during deer season.
*will sit under the table , under blankets, to go to pluto in a rocket ship, all the while reminding my children to put on there heavy coats, because we all know it is cold on pluto.
*will spend a whole afternoon digging up worms, and putting them in a bowl, just so her kids can look at them, becausethey are to squeamish to touch them.
*jumps on the trampoline, teaches her kids to skateboard, and loves to give temporary tattoos.
*is still forgetting to do the laundry and dishes because her kids wanted to know what happens when you put a celery stalk in red dyed water.
*excuses her home and has to push aside millions of kid books and science projects so that guests can sit onthe couch or eat at our table.
*still rocks her 7 year old to sleep when he's sick.
*will sit behind the couch for an hour with a puppet on her hand, talking in a voice that sounds a little like peewee herman and kermit the frog all together, cause thats the best she can come up with as far as puppet voices.
*still loves to read the teeny bopper magazines and then helps her daughters hang up the posters in their bedrooms and sort of wishes she could hang one up in her bedroom. sorry hubby! lol.
*loves her kids no matter what, forever and ever and ever. will never be perfect, but hopefully will always be loved.

Boo Mama's Christmas Tour of Homes 2008!! Welcome to our humble home!

Im so excited! This is my first time being involved in this awesome tour of homes!! Welcome!!!!! We live in the home of Mark Twain, good ole' Hannibal Mo, and we live in small home in the middle of town, on an awesome dead end street, full of wonderful neighbors! We have three beautiful children who love to help decorate for Christmas! So come on in!!

This is our little fiber optic tree. We call it the Beatles Yellow Submarine tree- it has my favorite ornament on it, the yellow submarine ornament, and then lots of bright colored ornaments to match! Its pretty fun!

Here is our regular tree. It is covered in ornaments that have been in my family, keiths family and our family together, for years! The kids decorated it which explains the group of ornaments all in the same spot!! We love it because it has so many special ornaments, each one tells a story of our family. There are homemade ornaments, ornaments from the early 1980's ( oh yeah, keith and I are children of the 80's lol) and each one is special!

Here are a couple of our nativity scenes. I love nativities. One day when Im rich, Im going to collect them. lol. They always help us to remember the real reason for the season. Well, this is all Im able to share for today, I have three very sick kids unfortunately, which is very normal for winter! We had an ice storm last night, and today, they are all really sick, so maybe next year I will be able to post a long awesome post, but I really just wanted to be a part of it this year!! Merry Christmas to all my new friends! I will be visiting your homes today for sure!!

Santa's little clothesline. lol. it is darling!

One of our Christmas Countdowns! This one was what my sister and I used as kids to countdown the days till christmas. I still get all excited when December 1st comes around and we get to play! My kids have the same joy that me and Cait did when we were little!

Our new little christmas countdown from www.funfelt.com it is so neat- each day you add a little felt figure and it comes with a little story to show what it symbolizes. We have loved doing this!
I love my kids and doing little things like this!!

What a weekend

So we survived the weekend. It was crazy and fun. The kids had a good time. I have a niece, although my bil is being a jerk and not telling us details or names or anything- he is like that. wish my sil would kick him to the curb. anyway, we made it through and we had fun. Took all the kids out to dinner to golden corral, lets see, what else, made homemade pizzas and played soooo much and danced and lots of other things.
Last night we took our three kids alone to the Avenue of Lights. It was sooo awesome, each year it just gets better and better. About 2 am, sydney woke up with diarrhea and a fever, so we are now going to be dealing with sickness. She is still sleeping right now, and I have checked her and she's not warm, but her fever was really high through the night. We will see how it goes.
We have been very blessed this weekend, by some help with our financial issues, we were able to get part of our income tax return back early! so we paid lots of bills! LOL. Not very fun, but we are so thankful to be feeling more " safe". Today we will be finishing sending out the christmas cards ( i had ran out of stamps, lol) and doing school work and I need to get my house back in order, with being gone most of the weekend then everyone being lazy last night, its a mess, lol. I will also be snuggling Sydney, hoping she will be much better this morning. I think all three of the kids are happy to be back home. It was a very chaotic weekend, but they had fun.
