Guess What I Found!!

So, the way our house is set up, is our laundry room is right off the playroom. The Playroom is connected to the living room and the thigh bone is connected to the knee bone, etc....
We put our christmas tree in the playroom this year so Roxie the big hippo dog wouldnt attack it. We loved it in the playroom! It was so cute and magical and fit into the little corner by the laundry room just right!
Well, the door to the laundry room usually stays open. I like the way laundry detergent smells and if you leave the door open, the smell floats through the house.. ahhhh....
Anywho, if you leave the door to the laundry room open, it blocks the corner where the christmas tree is.... you can kind of see where Im going with this cant you???
I closed the laundry room door last night and guess what I found! Yup. The christmas tree!!!! Oooppps!!!! So it must go down today. Tears falling on my cheeks. It is January 25th I guess it is time. Oh, and if you are wondering, i confess... i absolutely plugged the tree in last night. i had to one more time!!!!!
HAHAHAHAHA :)

HAHAHAHA! Jaelle, that's hysterical. Oh, and in case you're wondering, the Shedd aquarium is the best one we've been to. And we've seen a lot, including Monterey Bay and Baltimore. If you ever get the chance, you should take your kids. It is amazing.

Keith and I went to Shedd when I was about 5 months pregnant with Dylan, it was soo cool.... we tried to take the kids to chicage a couple years ago, but with marlees autism, she freaked about spending the night in a hotel and then dylan was allergic to the pillows in the hotel so we drove like 5 hours there and then turned around and drove back home. It ended up being like 9 hours straight in the car. no fun. We might try again now that they are a bit older :)

Too funny, Jaelle! You could just leave it up and decorate it for each holiday. I bet the kids would have fun making paper hearts for Valentine's or stringing up plastic eggs for Easter.

A thought on hotels...did you try showing her pictures of lots of hotel rooms (that way, if she didn't stay in the exact one she saw, she wouldn't freak out) so she would have a general idea of what to expect? And, I always take my own pillow to a hotel, as I'm never sure if the ones there will be comfortable. My sister and I were often allergic to the detergent the hotels used. My suggestion (since I haven't had problems with it in the last several years) is to try a slightly nicer hotel. Places like motel6 and super8 are okay, but I'm pretty sure they use harsh detergents. Our favorite hotel is Hampton Inn...free wifi and free (slightly better than) continental breakfast. And, nice beds. I like them a lot.

Miranda-- THat is a really really cute idea!!! I think im gonna do it!!!!!

Bethany-- We like Hampton Inn alot too! Keith and I have stayed there, we just struggle with Marlee! Now that she is older, I think it will work out better, Heaven knows we have tried lets see, about 6 times now, to stay in a hotel, always having to leave because of her screaming!! Hopefully this time she will be just fine!!! sheesh!!
We will defintely take our own pillows! lol.... the hotel we stayed at in chicage, it was fancy schmancy and they had real feather pillows... yeah dylan is mega allergic to feathers lol! We will defintely be taking our own pillows!! Too bad you guys couldnt meet us in chicago sometime and we could go to all the museums etc! itd be so fun!!!
