Wild Weekend Weather

This weekend, the weather has been truly odd. On around thursday, it was icy, so much that we couldnt get out of our driveway, and it was freezing freezing cold. Friday, the same, but a little warmer. Friday night and all of Saturday we had tornados. Im sooo not kidding, the sirens were on and off all night and all day. We had terrible storms and the high was 72. How wierd is that???? Then today, it is about 22 out and freezing again. Wierd weather. Tis the latter days I guess.

Fun after Christmas

I love to play with all of the toys after Christmas! LOL. So far, I have bathed probably a hundred baby dolls, fed them, changed their clothes and put them to bed. I have had my hair and makeup done in Marlee's salon, I have actually had to purchase ( at a quarter a piece) a tattoo from Dylans tattoo parlor, and just so many other fun things! The kids have been making scrapbooks, molding clay, making bracelets, and playing with a ton of new power rangers, neoshifters and more. We are so blessed. So very very blessed.
Right now my kids are eating breakfast- hot chocolate with bunny marshmallows and cinnamon rolls. It is sunday and we are snuggling in, the weather is cold, cold, cold. They are still hacking and coughing so much it sounds like they are going to hack up a lung, and I wonder when it is going to end. We have missed so much church. Hopefully, it will get better. We will have a gospel lesson and sing some hymns, but it isnt the same.
With love, Jaelle

A very very merry christmas!

What an awesome holiday we have had! It is early evening on Christmas night, the tree lights are on, and we are all sitting at the dining room table listening to my beautiful, smart 7 year old read us a bedtime story! We have a cute book called five minute bedtime stories from sesame street ( im a HUGE sesame street fan, lol) anyway, it is so amazing to me to hear my son read to the family. He is growing up so fast. Just watching my kids this holiday season has really struck a chord in my heart, they are growing up so fast and I want to make sure that I remember every little detail of it. I have such happy childhood memories and I hope my babies will have them too.

Yesterday for Christmas eve we headed to my parents for presents, and my mom had made the yummy cutout christmas cookies that my sister and I used to make together every year. It was awesome! We also had yum pizza rye bread. My aunt vonnie was there and we all sat around and watched the kids open there presents and we exchanged small, inexpensive gifts for the adults, which was so awesome to me, and I have to brag for a minute.... my babies are so gracious. I was so proud of them. Every little gift they were so happy and joyful and grateful. They are so wonderful, because they know what Christmas is about, and they repeat it often and to perfect strangers ( like the lady at the video store, lol) Christmas is about giving, and most of all about Jesus, our Savior. Even my four year old tells everyone this. Ok, im done bragging, which I really shouldnt be bragging, because it isnt me who makes them like this- they are just wonderful spirits. After a nice christmas at my parents, we came home for a little bit for potty breaks, a bit of playing with new toys, then we headed to Keiths parents. That was also a lot of fun. His brother Cory and his wife Sara were there, with there beautiful babies Ivy and Braden. We all sat around, ate lots of meatballs and little smokies and opened presents, once again, it was for the kids, and the adults didnt really exchange gifts ( well, I take that back, we bought his parents a new toilet seat !!!!!! ( sydney said the other one pinched her bum, and it did, there was a crack in it! ROFLMBO!!!!) and we all just talked and played and had such a good time. Unfortunately my little nephew braden accidently fell down the steps and busted his lip up good, so there was plenty of action and drama, but he was okie dokie by the time we left.

Once we got home, it was bedtime and we were pretty excited because Santa was coming! The kids went to bed awesome-- but woke up at 1 am, 2 am, well, you get the picture! At 5 am, we finally said, FINE!! you can open presents LOL!!! Santa was good to us this year! The kids each got something they really wanted, Dylan got a neat power rangers mega zord, Marlee got a pink game"girl", and Sydney got a poodle with clothes, a bulldog, and a kitty cat ( she loves animals) plus a bunch of other fun little gifts. Keith and I bought a joint present this year, something we needed-- a new pooper scooper for the dog! We thought it was hilarious, that shows you what a fun couple we are!!!!

Today was spent in our jammies, playing with ALL the toys!! We had soo much fun! Then tonight we had a nice little sit down dinner, of hamburger helper, broccoli and cheese, cinnamon applesauce and buttered bread. lol. easy peasy! We were going to make homemade pizza, but we have all been soo sick with colds and sinus issues, that we just took it easy!

Here are a couple picks, one from my parents house, and one from keiths parents house. Unfortunately, my silly camera batteries died late last night after all the stores were closed, so no pics of today, but they are in my memory!

Merry Christmas my loved ones. Whoever reads this is defintely a loved one of mine, and I pray so hard that each of you know Jesus. That is the important thing!

Merry Christmas Eve!

We got up early to finish the christmas present for nana and pop pop ( cant tell what it is, they might read LOL) and Keith is at work, so when he gets home at noon, we will have lunch and then head out to buy the kids presents to each other, we take one kid at a time to the dollar store, where they pick out a present for their siblings. It is fun and cute.
At 2pm, we are heading to nana and pop pops where we will have our christmas eve celebration with presents and food. After we are done there we head to Keiths parents for presents and food, then we get to come home and get everything ready for santa to come!!! Our family reads the Christmas Story from Luke, while sitting under the Christmas tree, and then we put the cookies and milk out and go to bed where visions of sugarplum fairies will dance in our heads!!!!
Christmas day is going to be awesome this year, we dont have anywhere we HAVE to be!! So we get to play and watch movies and eat lots of treats!! Its awesome!
Merry christmas to all of my family and friends, I love you all and Im so thankful for the holiday season where we get to honor the birth of our Savior.

Gingerbread Houses!

We always have so much fun doing gingerbread houses each year! This year aunt sandy sent us over houses to do! How fun!!!!!

making Christmas goodies

Marlee and Sydney helped me to make some yummy white chocolate covered pretzel treats to give out to family for Christmas! We had so much fun! It was a mess!

Magical Christmas Memories

Sydney working on the village
Marlee in front of santa's workshop and nativity scenes

Dylan setting up part of the train

Marlee and Aunt Vonnie :)

Yesterday the kids went to Nana and Pop Pops and had there special christmas time with them alone, they make cookies, decorate the tree and nana's house, and then make a special christmas gift for mommy and daddy to have under the tree! After we picked the kids up we went to Aunt Vonnies for our special Christmas afternoon with her! Every year since I can remember- and Im 27, she has painted a ceramic house for her christmas village. She has made swingsets, cars, even tunnels for the train! Each year we get to help put the village up!! She even has a seperate santa's workshop and nativity scene!! We LOVE it! I have happy memories of doing this for christmas and now my children get to have that joy. Here are some pictures!!

Fat Pics of me on Facebook... I have motivation now

Well, I have motivation to lose weight now. My aunt whom I love soo much, really i do, but she posted pics of me and our family on facebook. I have gained alot of weight since my first pregnancy, seven years ago, and three babies right in a row, and a major illness, I have gained alot of weight. And Im mortified. But I had made a safe cocoon where no one really saw me and I didnt have to worry about being " embarrassed" by my weight. So , now I have motivation. Im going to lose weight. Im ready to be healthy and not embarrassed. I will never be 90 lbs again, but I can be healthy and try very hard to accept myself for who I am, a wonderful fun crazy awesome girl! Who just happens to be fat ROFL!!! So, here is a pic for the world to see, of how I look now. Yup. Im doing it, Im posting a pic of me. So maybe, in a year, I will post another picture of me!! Smaller me, LOL!!

To all who see me, please still love me.

JAELLE

by the way, that gorgeous guy with me in the pic- thats my hunky hubby.

Oh the weather outside is frightful...

What a mess. Ice all night, then fog this morning, so I guess it is beginning to thaw a bit. Anyway, it is gross! All the schools are closed, but Keith is still heading to quincy for work. We have a four wheel drive suv, so hopefully he wont have any problems.
Im sitting here at 6:30 am letting Sydney brush my hair. lol. After Im finished here on the computer Im going to start cleaning. I have this "thing" where I always have to have my house cleaned really really nicely by christmas. Even as a kid, I would clean my room really well, before Christmas, it was a fresh start to put all my goodies away LOL!!!! So, today Im cleaning, then tomorrow we are working as a family on the rest of the little projects and gingerbread houses and treats etc. So we will be ready for Christmas. Finally. It is just so strange, Christmas seems to have just snuck up and im not feeling particularly festive. Sheesh. :)
Love, JL

Cabin Fever

Well, we have had ice, snow, and today it is supposed to be just cold, then this evening- a terrible ice storm lasting all through tomorrow. So we are experiencing cabin fever in the Kaylor household. So I am going to attempt to get the kids out today and run just a couple errands, then we are going to try and break up some of the cabin fever by finishing a couple of christmas projects. A present for my parents, and then making the pretzel goodies for the neighbors etc.
We will throw in a little schoolwork and read a christmas book or two, and hopefully we will all feel a little better so we can get through the next spell of storms.

Blue eyes...

Can you see where Marlee gets her blue eyes?? Doesnt grandpa look good? He is plowing right through chemo and doing great! He is such a fiesty man! I love him!

Im the mom who......

im the mom who:
*makes her kids theme lunches, such as an all orange lunch, on orange plates with orange juice to drink, ravioli's, carrots, cheetos and oranges.
*plays barbies and colors for so long, she forgets to do the dishes and the laundry.
*will put on pretend deer antlers and crawl around the house so that her kids can pretend to hunt her during deer season.
*will sit under the table , under blankets, to go to pluto in a rocket ship, all the while reminding my children to put on there heavy coats, because we all know it is cold on pluto.
*will spend a whole afternoon digging up worms, and putting them in a bowl, just so her kids can look at them, becausethey are to squeamish to touch them.
*jumps on the trampoline, teaches her kids to skateboard, and loves to give temporary tattoos.
*is still forgetting to do the laundry and dishes because her kids wanted to know what happens when you put a celery stalk in red dyed water.
*excuses her home and has to push aside millions of kid books and science projects so that guests can sit onthe couch or eat at our table.
*still rocks her 7 year old to sleep when he's sick.
*will sit behind the couch for an hour with a puppet on her hand, talking in a voice that sounds a little like peewee herman and kermit the frog all together, cause thats the best she can come up with as far as puppet voices.
*still loves to read the teeny bopper magazines and then helps her daughters hang up the posters in their bedrooms and sort of wishes she could hang one up in her bedroom. sorry hubby! lol.
*loves her kids no matter what, forever and ever and ever. will never be perfect, but hopefully will always be loved.

Boo Mama's Christmas Tour of Homes 2008!! Welcome to our humble home!

Im so excited! This is my first time being involved in this awesome tour of homes!! Welcome!!!!! We live in the home of Mark Twain, good ole' Hannibal Mo, and we live in small home in the middle of town, on an awesome dead end street, full of wonderful neighbors! We have three beautiful children who love to help decorate for Christmas! So come on in!!

This is our little fiber optic tree. We call it the Beatles Yellow Submarine tree- it has my favorite ornament on it, the yellow submarine ornament, and then lots of bright colored ornaments to match! Its pretty fun!

Here is our regular tree. It is covered in ornaments that have been in my family, keiths family and our family together, for years! The kids decorated it which explains the group of ornaments all in the same spot!! We love it because it has so many special ornaments, each one tells a story of our family. There are homemade ornaments, ornaments from the early 1980's ( oh yeah, keith and I are children of the 80's lol) and each one is special!

Here are a couple of our nativity scenes. I love nativities. One day when Im rich, Im going to collect them. lol. They always help us to remember the real reason for the season. Well, this is all Im able to share for today, I have three very sick kids unfortunately, which is very normal for winter! We had an ice storm last night, and today, they are all really sick, so maybe next year I will be able to post a long awesome post, but I really just wanted to be a part of it this year!! Merry Christmas to all my new friends! I will be visiting your homes today for sure!!

Santa's little clothesline. lol. it is darling!

One of our Christmas Countdowns! This one was what my sister and I used as kids to countdown the days till christmas. I still get all excited when December 1st comes around and we get to play! My kids have the same joy that me and Cait did when we were little!

Our new little christmas countdown from www.funfelt.com it is so neat- each day you add a little felt figure and it comes with a little story to show what it symbolizes. We have loved doing this!
I love my kids and doing little things like this!!

What a weekend

So we survived the weekend. It was crazy and fun. The kids had a good time. I have a niece, although my bil is being a jerk and not telling us details or names or anything- he is like that. wish my sil would kick him to the curb. anyway, we made it through and we had fun. Took all the kids out to dinner to golden corral, lets see, what else, made homemade pizzas and played soooo much and danced and lots of other things.
Last night we took our three kids alone to the Avenue of Lights. It was sooo awesome, each year it just gets better and better. About 2 am, sydney woke up with diarrhea and a fever, so we are now going to be dealing with sickness. She is still sleeping right now, and I have checked her and she's not warm, but her fever was really high through the night. We will see how it goes.
We have been very blessed this weekend, by some help with our financial issues, we were able to get part of our income tax return back early! so we paid lots of bills! LOL. Not very fun, but we are so thankful to be feeling more " safe". Today we will be finishing sending out the christmas cards ( i had ran out of stamps, lol) and doing school work and I need to get my house back in order, with being gone most of the weekend then everyone being lazy last night, its a mess, lol. I will also be snuggling Sydney, hoping she will be much better this morning. I think all three of the kids are happy to be back home. It was a very chaotic weekend, but they had fun.

Thanksgiving Week

We had a good weekend, Dylan has been sick with a bad cold and this morning, we all kind of woke up stuffy again, but we rested up this weekend and hopefully we will have a wonderful thanksgiving week. I actually got some stuff done outside this weekend, to get the yard, etc ready for winter, raked up leaves, put toys away, mowed one last time and mulched the leaves, etc and basically got things ready for winter. Im already excited about spring, ha ha, but for now, I know that everything is cozy and ready for the winter.
Today we have to take Aunt Vonnie to the dr, and we have done some school already this morning. I have cleaned up the kitchen, living room and dining room, and the kids are watching a movie from the library right now, while i rest up. We will get dressed here in about half an hour and head out to take aunt vonnie. I have loads of laundry to do, lol, but that will get done today too! So much! We have everything planned out for our festive december school plans, and we are excited about starting that next monday, and we are also excited about thanksgiving this week. We have soo much to be thankful for. I am just full of gratitude, I really am, and it is a good feeling.

Thursday

We have had an interesting week. Took the kids to nauvoo the other day. Long trip, good day, but dylan is sick of course from it. Unfortunately me and keith are also fighting a cold, so we are all grumpy LOL. I am excited because today I actually get to sit down with dylans medical records from hannibal clinic and write down all the infections, etc he has had and try and get stuff organized for his trip to columbia december 5th. We are praying that he will be healthy enough to get his port and start his IVIG. We will see how it goes. Im actually excited about sitting in a room with a lady staring at me so i dont "steal" anything and look at papers. how fun! But it is a start. We will get something figured out. We have to.
So today the kids are watching movies, marlee has been scrapbooking, sydney has been playing with playdoh and dylan has been sneezing, lol, and playing gameboy. The kids have also set the little car dvd player up in their room and they are watching veggietales on marlees bed! so cute.

changes

ok, so the new puppy didnt work out. roxie thought the puppy pixie was a squeaky toy. ugh, so many issues in this family, lol.
So, the owners took her back, and im going to bed. ha!

Marlee's tooth FINALLY came out....

it took a trip to the dentist, but that really really wiggly tooth, finally came out! Marlee had a great checkup also, dentist said she had perfect teeth. Thats two kids out of three so far that have perfect teeth! Sydney will go to dentist for first time in 2009!!

Here is a pic of marlee sarah at dentist!

Vacation Plans, LOL

So Marlee says to me, mom I need a tropical vacation. I said , well, what would you do on your tropical vacation. She says she would lay out and get a suntan. I think that sounds wonderful! Unfortunately, we live in missouri, it is about 35 degrees right now, and we have no money HA HA.
So, Keith told the kids, if you could have a vacation at home, what would you do?? So they got out the paper last night and pens and made a list. SOOO CUTE.
So, today, while Keith is at work, we are going to run a couple of errands that have to be ran, bank etc. and then we are going to begin, working our way down the vacation lists. We have had so much stress in our lives lately, my babies deserve a vacation!! We will still be doing some school, mainly gospel and scriptures and lots of reading as usual, and I have some books from the library on thanksgiving that are going to be fun. Here are the girls vacation lists- Dylan just wants to play gamecube, thanks again Aunt Ruth and cousin Mark!!! He loves it! It makes him happy, especially when he is sick, which unfortunately is hanging over us right now, fevers, coughing and he has had severe headache, but today seems to be doing much better, so we cross our fingers! Ok, here are the lists!
Marlee's Vacation List:
1- get a massage
2-candle lit bath
3-make paper dolls
4-get a make over
5-go to the salon
6-play volleyball with a friend
7-play on bounce around ( big blow up castle bouncy thing we have)
8-get a wagon ride
9-sleigh ride for christms ( will have to figure this one out still, lol)
10-play outside

Sydney's Vacation List
1-Take a bath with candles
2-wagon ride through the leaves
3-hold pixie
4-car ride
5-hold roxie
6-get a sleigh ride in the snow

So, you can be sure I will be taking pictures this week, as we have our "vacations" and will be posting them, because this is just to cute!!!!!!
As for the actual things, i think i can do them all except for the sleigh ride at christmas. I will have to work on that one ROFL. Maybe decorate our wagon like a sleigh and dress Keith up as santa and make roxie the reindeer pull them HA HA HA Ha- ok, i defintely am liking this picture toooo much!!!!
As for the rest, their will be pictures!!! My babies deserve a vacation!!!!
With Love,
Jaelle

Our new baby

Well, we saw an ad in the paper, need to get rid of boston terrier, 6 months old, with papers, crate, etc for 150. umm... ok, so we checked it out- and fell in love. she is soo tiny and needs to be fed! she was left in her crate almost all the time, and she is a good addition to our family. We laughed when we heard her name " Pixie", which we thought went well with our "roxie". so here is apic of our new baby. Roxie thinks she is a chew toy right now, but they are warming up to each other! Cuties!

COLD

It is freezing outside!!! Keith is working this morning, even though it is saturday, :(
and we are all snuggled inside watching tv and playing on computer. I have signed dylan
and marlee up for this online research thing ianproject.org about autism etc and im hoping that it will help researchers to find some new things out about autism!
So today I have to fill out a million forms. But that is ok, because I just want a cure. I just want to
know what the heck I can do.
Im also getting stuff ready for december- busy month, we will be hosting a cookie exchange and im hoping a little christmas card party or something and also of course getting everything decorated and ready for christmas!
Lots of service projects that we will be doing, etc too.
Well, that is about all for now. Lazy day, cold day. brrrrr......

thursday update

Well, life is busy as usual. It is early morning and the sky is gorgeous! pink!! what a beautiful thing to make me remember that god loves me. Today we will be doing school, and then i have a bunch of things to ship for my store www.fairyhousecottage.com and then we will be continuing to work on getting our house completely cleaned out. I am already excited about decorating for christmas this year. Although i ADORE thanksgiving, so I refuse to do anything for christmas until after thanksgiving. But im thinking about it, lol. Its ok to think. Just not actually do anything. I am so upset at the people who are already putting their christmas stuff outside- hello, lets please have thanksgiving! it is one of my favorites!! i have so much to be thankful for and i want that day darn it!!
I will be cleaning my entire house out this next week, and then the day after thanksgiving i will be decorating it for christmas. im then going to post pics!!
So, what else, lets see. The tutu's turned out sooo cute for the girls, dylan is still working on his hat he is making. I am working on my store, making cute baby things to sell, and of course christmas presents ( i do make the exception for christmas presents, because im making alot of them, shhhh dont tell!!) i need time. lol. What else is going on, umm..... Keith is still working hard at Keck Heating and Air in quincy. He was in Golden yesterday on a new construction and not sure where he will be today. He is getting awesome experience and we are still so shocked that he is an actual college graduate. It is crazy to think that we went through that!! Of course, our first payment on the student loans is due next month. That will shock us in to reality LOL!!!!!
Dylan was invited to a party in st louis for kids with primary immunodeficiencies ( what he has) and it is supposed to be pretty awesome, and for the whole family, but we're not sure if we are going to go or not-- it doesnt start until 7 pm and we would have to drive home from st louis late, which normally isnt a big deal, but marlee will freak. that is autism for ya. We are still thinking about it. We want dylan to have the opportunity to make friends who also go through what he does. We most likely will go. They took Marlee and Sydneys names too, so they will be getting presents from santa there too. That is pretty cool. Yep, i think we will go.
What else. Im still working hard on the lds family zoo day. It was a huge conference, but is now just a fun zoo day. www.ldsfamilyandhomeschoolconference.blogspot.com and its going well, i have lots of stuff for the goody bags, etc and im excited! it is in march next year.
I think that is about it for right now. My grandpa just finished his second round of chemo, doing pretty good that way. Just have to keep praying. Our mazda mpv that we have, is running again, thank you keith, he is so awesome to have around. We are pretty blessed.

The Magic of a Leaf Pile

When I was a kid, we lived in a brown house in ohio. That house was magical to me. We had these HUGE yards, one in the front, by the highway, it was huge with big trees, and we didnt play in the front yard, because of the road. Then we had a huge backyard with all our play equipment, etc. The only time I ever really remember playing in the big front yard, was when the leaves fell. My dad would rake leaves. He would make the biggest leaf piles you had ever seen. HUGE!!!!! Then, with my mom taking pictures of course, my little sister and I would fly into each pile over and over and over. We would do this all afternoon one weekend in the fall. During the week we would make little leaf piles in the backyard, usually in front of the swing set so that we could jump from our swings, into the piles, but that was NOTHING compared to the big leaf piles my daddy would rake up for us.

Keith and I have tried to rake leaves each year for our kids to jump in. Unfortunately we dont have big trees in our front yard. But our neighbor does!! So this morning, even though it was cold and grey outside, I raked leaves from my neighbors yard that had blown into my yard, into a big pile, and let my kids jump!!! Dylan has been sick, so he started coughing about the third jump. By the time they each had jumped about 5 times, Dylan could hardly breathe, and we were all freezing, so we went inside. They are snuggled up in blankets right now having graham crackers and I have the front inside door open, so I can look out at our leaf pile, for just a few more minutes. What is the magic of leaf piles?? What is it that makes even me, a 27 year old mom, want to go jump in the leaves????? I am so thankful that I can be a mommy, that I can rake leaves, and let my kids jump in them. That I had the best parents as a child, who made opportunities for me and my sister to have "magic". That is what I want for my kids. I want their childhood to be magical like mine was. It is harder I think now, because first of all the world is a scarier place, and second of all, i have a sick kid and one with a disability. But I sure still try to make magic. Like for instance, today, Dylan helped me make "mummy hot dogs" for lunch. He found a recipe in a halloween magazine ( yes i know its november, lol) and he wanted to try them out. So this weekend we bought the ingredients, and today, like magic, hot dogs were turned into spooky mummys. They sure tasted good! What is it about leaf piles that makes me want my childhood back? What about hotdogs in the shape of mummys? I dont know. I guess I will live vicariously through my kids and do everything I can to make their childhood magic. Oh, and yes, I am going to wait until keith gets home tonight, and im going to rake the pile back up really big, and im going to go jump in the leaves. I recommend that every mom should go out right now, and jump in the leaves with their kids.

Early Morning Play Time

It is 7am and my kids are awake and running !! I love early morning time. I work on the computer while they play. RIght now, the girls have the dogs big metal "play pen" ( dont know what else to call it) up in the dining room, with pillows, etc in it and they are playing doggie. Sydney is barking and is lying on a pillow and even has bowl of water. Marlee is reading her "puppy" a book. Poor Roxie our real dog, is sitting outside the pen thinking, what the heck?? LOL.
The kids did better through the night last night. The delsym really helps break up the yuckies in their chest with their croup. I recommend it to anyone. That is what our favorite pediatrician told us to use before she up and left us to move back closer to her family. mean ole dr wise LOL.
We loved her sooo much. But she was a smart cookie and we always rely on the delsym when they get croup. We just have to keep a very very close eye on dylan. So far so good, just fevers and coughing. We have to watch for him to get wheezy and asthma. He is doing ok right now.
Received a late night phone call from his dermatologist at about 8:30 pm- wanted to check on him and let us know that the results came back that his owies on his legs and ankles were defintely fungal and that the meds he is on now should help-- they are! I was so happy to tell her that it is getting better. Another thing down. Poor guy. He was so sick yesterday and today he is very tired from it. Im letting him camp out on the floor in a blanket and play gamecube.
We do have to do school today, but it will be fun, and laid back. I dont want to take to long of a break. We do so much reading etc that I dont feel to bad when we take days off for sickness.
Well, lets see, what else do i have to write about this beautiful day-- it really is already beautiful. the sun is rising so pretty and it makes me happy. Keith is home today with a vacation day. Our car parts came in yesterday so today he fixes my car-- again. lol. He bought a really nice timing kit so hopefully it will work very well. I am very blessed to have a hubby who can fix pretty much anything-- he is so talented. He has saved us sooo much money over the years with car fixups, house fixups, etc. What a blessing.
oh, this is so cute, marlee is rubbing sydneys belly-- her puppys belly i mean, lol. syd is just sucking it up, little booger!!! My kids are so cute.
I have some cute pics to upload here. One of them is a pic i took the other day, Keith fell asleep on the couch after work, and the kids were very busy. that is all i will say. LOL. I will get the pic uploaded and on here today!!!

school update!

My mom asked me this morning, are you even doing school with your kids?? why yes i am! I just havent written about it in awhile!
Here is some fun things we've been doing!
We are reading American Girls Kirsten books and we got a cookbook that has recipes like what she would have made, so we are going to have fun with that!
We are still doing alot on abraham lincoln, most recentely we have been working on making a handkerchief doll!
We are reading Little House on the Prairie, a long winter, and loving it.
We are doing all this plus the regular, reading, riting, and rithmatic! For science we are beginning to learn about animals, and looking forward to a trip to the zoo! For history we are still learning all about the pilgrims and indians, etc, in light of it being thanksgiving soon! For reading, Dylan is working hard in his Teach your child to read using the book of mormon workbook, and in his abeka readers! marlee is working hard on learning all the sounds that the letters make, and of course being read to constantly. She even "read" to me the other day! How fun! Sydney is so fun, she just jumps right in and does everything that dylan and marlee are doing!!
Math has been fun, dylan adores worksheets out of his workbooks. He has been working on probability, graphs, adding, subtracting, multiplication and more. The girls just got a new little m&m counting game that we will have fun with! Oh, i forgot, dylans apple that he has been observing, is really starting to get yucky! It is decomposing and he observes it every couple of days, the smell, texture, colors, etc and keeps a record of it. It is getting exciting how yucky it is getting!! We are just loving being a family and being blessed to be able to homeschool.
For gospel we are working on being thankful, and continuing to work on the living D&C 109:8

Right now the kids are making pb&j sandwiches to have an outdoor picnic. We are going to eat and read from our books!!! Love everyone!

Happy Halloween Aunt "bunny" ( that is what they
used to call my aunt vonnie!! Cute huh!)

Well, halloween started out interesting, the kids were not feeling well, but felt good enough to go to the jack o lantern jamboree in quincy. So we headed off and just as i was turning off the highway to pick my mom up ( she wanted to come along!) my car died. Again. Right off the highway. Dang car. I have had the worst trouble with it. I LOVE it, it is soooo cute and it is just perfect for us, seven passenger, huge sunroof, gorgeous suv, anyway, it is really having issues with timing belts, etc. So, we walked to my moms and she drove us into hannibal, we took the kids trick or treating to my aunt vonnies and then we headed home. After Keith got off work, and towed the car home, we borrowed keiths parents van and headed out. Here are the pics!

Happy Halloween, and sick kids.

It is halloween! The kids are super excited, and super sick. :(
They all woke up yesterday with nasty colds, and today they are still struggling. marlee the most, because of her autism, she doesnt get the whole cough thing. So instead, she just pukes. Kind of gross, but understandable, she has to get the gunk out somehow.
So we are waiting to see about going to the library party, we will see how everyone feels. We are going to a couple of family members homes tonight to trick or treat, and our neighbors, but that will probably be it.
If they feel better, we will head to the Jack O Lantern Jamboree!
We will see. My sweet babies, they are all resting right now watching veggietales.

Horse and Carriages

Today is a better day! The sun is shining, im feeling better and my kids are awesome! Today they decided to build a carriage. We watched the secret garden, we love that movie and it was one of the first whole chapter books i read to them, and they were fascinated by the carriage that they roll Collin around in. So they decided to build one out of cardboard. After lots of crayons, tape, and cardboard, plus a bench and a chair, they got it all ready. Then they decided they needed horses. Cue the stuffed puppy dogs and yarn for the ropes! Arent they clever, lol!
I am still busy working on the LDS Family and Homeschool Spring Conference 2009. If anyone wants to come please let me know!!!

Easy Day

Mommy isnt feeling to well today! Yuck. So we are having an easy peasy day. Keith rented the kids some fun movies, made them lunch and stuck it in the fridge and now i can rest! I am spending time in my recliner working on the spring homeschool conference and then im going to go lay on the couch and watch movies with my babies. I hate days where I feel " not good enough" but they are so happy to just have a fun day ! No school, just play! the girls have a huge barbie house set up in the living room and are watching the new tinkerbell movie, and dylan is attached to his game cube playing spongebob! Fun easy day.

Thankful

We have been so blessed! Dylan's staph is completely gone! They did a skin scraping and cultures and the two big boo boo spots ( well there are actually three, but one of them is clearing up) they are actually a new fungal infection. It is like ringworm i guess. His immune system is freaking, its not fighting all these little funky infections that I guess are in the air or something? How the heck is he getting this stuff? this is his FOURTH skin infection in two months. All different ones! Anyway, he has new meds, he is feeling happy that he doesnt have to go to the dermatologist for two whole weeks, and we are thankful.
Unfortunately he is sick with a cold, fever, cough, sneezy, etc. on top of all this, but we are hoping we can just take it easy and deal with it.
I spoke with someone from the jeffrey modell foundation-- www.info4pi.com they are amazing- and they gave me the names of two expert immunologists in st louis. they said that these two people are actual specialists who do research, etc and that they are interested in dylans case. We still have not found the "exact" immune disorder that he has, because no one is taking the time to research it. So I will be contacting them this week. His dr in columbia cant get him in until december 2nd. Something has to happen before then! Im surprised that is what they said because he is supposed to be getting a port and starting IVIG sometime. So we will see what the research specialists say. Im actually really excited to see them, they seem like they will take the time to give me an answer.
ok, that is my update on my sweetie son. He is lying down watching Blues Room and eating a popcorn ball, LOL. He loves halloween! LOL. Thank you for all of your prayers.

The scripture my grandmother " gave " me.

Philippians 4:6-7

***********************

Be anxious for nothing

but in everything in prayer, and supplication, with thanksgiving

let your requests be made known to God.

the peace of God, which surpassesall understanding,

will guard your hearts and minds through Jesus Christ.

Please pray for Dylan

This is how my life goes. We have a really fun day, and then Dylan gets sick. My poor baby. Please pray for him. He has had three different skin infections going on, and he has staph now. It is pretty bad. I called his doctor tonight at home, she will be meeting us at 7:45 in the morning tomorrow to culture him and make a plan of what to do. I am really scared because my mom almost died from staph and it is just an ugly word to me. He is in alot of pain and is not feeling well right now of course. We are praying for a good night sleep and quick healing. Life is very hard with a little guy who has no immune system to fight all these bad things. I will update tomorrow.

More pics. LOL
